Top Ten Things To Do In Tenerife

Ok so you you've booked your flights to Tenerife, booked yourself into Paloma Beach Apartments and now you're wondering; "What are the top 10 things to do in Tenerife?" here's mine:

10. Scuba Diving - Tenerife has some amazing reefs, amazing marine life, shipwrecks and caves. Whether you're a novice or an experienced diver there are loads of companies who will be delighted to show you Tenerifes waterworld.

9. Whale & Dolphin Safari - There are many boats from either Los Cristianos or Puerto Colon harbour who will take you a few miles off the coast of Tenerife where you can see whales and dolphins close up.

8. Go Karting - Tenerife is home to one of Europes biggest karting tracks! There's different size karts and a seperate kiddies track so every age group and level is catered for.

7. Monkey Park - Not just a monkey park though! There's loads of animals here ranging from the fierce to the funny, it'll only take an hour or so to go around but it's a cheap afternoon out!

6. Golf - Tenerife is home to 7 golf courses! Most are in the south of the island, check out the golf page for more details.

5. Island Tour - Take a tour of the island! Most tours take in; Candelaria and the basilica in the church, Puerto De La Cruz & Icod De Los Vinos, Buenavista, Los Gigantes & Masca the lost village.

4. Jungle Park - take your camera! This zoo has an abundance of animals and plenty of birds! Just 5 minutes away from Los Cristianos in the town of Chayofa.

3. Loro Parque - here you'll find, dophins, tigers, whales, gorillas and loads and loads more, this is one of Tenerifes top attractions and a day out you'll never forget. Located in Puerto De La Cruz in the north of Tenerife.

2. Mount Teide & National Park - the worlds 3rd largest volcano stands at a towering 3718m above sea level! This dormant volcano last errupted 1909, the National Park is the most visited in Spain. A Cable car can be taken to within a 200 metres of the top, access can be gained for free by visiting the Park office in Santa Cruz in person. Read my brother David's Hub about climbing mount teide.

1. Siam Park - The owners of Loro Parque outdid themselves with this amazing Thai themed waterpark which blew it's competitor Aqualand, quite literally, out of the water. Read all about it here .
