Comments: Really enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing and the view from our apartment was great.So near to the beach and the promenade. Would recommend it to anyone.The Sunday market is so close by, just five minutes walk and a good place to get souvenirs to take home. Callaghans bar is just facing the market and has nice staff and a really lovely owner who gave us great tips for sightseeing. The food there is excellent value for money. Our apartment also had some english channels on the tv,nice to watch after a long day sightseeing, plus iceland supermarket is a short stroll across the road, very handy for familiar brands.The Paloma beach offers good value for money and good location,the only drawback and it's a small one was the karaoke on at night, I'm not a fan especially when I'm watching tv. Very good holiday, will tell my friends about it.Can't find any faults.

Comments: A very spacious, clean and well furnished apartment. Excellent value for money. This was our first visit to Tenerife but it won't be our last. The staff at the apartments were extremely helpful. Lots to do in the surrounding areas but far enough away from the madding crowd so you could have peace and relaxation if that's what you want. We would recomend it.

Comments: Been going to Paloma Beach for the last 6 years, usually at least twice a year. Great place to stay, clean friendly and helpful. Coming again for XMAS. On the subject of cleaning, how dirty can an apartment get in two weeks. The beds are changed regularly and clean towels provided. I would suggest you have some kind of compulsive disorder if you feel the need to thoroughly clean!! Apart from wiping the worktops and tables, wiping the bath after use what else do you need to do.

Comments: We've stayed up to 2/3 times a year for the last eight years and still intend returning. The apartments are ideally located close to the beach and town but enjoy a peaceful setting at the edge of the resort. The apartments can vary, some brighter than others although they all have same facilities. We have always found them to be clean, with linen changed regularly. We are beach lovers so don't spend much time around the pool however all staff are pleasant and helpful. We've no complaints.

Comments: We have been going to Paloma Beach for the last 10 years and more and have loved every trip. I would have marked 5 for great if we had had our apartment cleaned at least once during our 2 week stay. When we first started going to Paloma Beach your apartment was cleaned at least once. Staff are all very friendly and the pool bar is excellent. Apartments are all individual and vary slightly. I know John has taken over the management of the complex and is moving it into the 21st century cutting back on overheads! but come on John lets have the apartments cleaned at least once during a 2 week stay, I don't come on holiday to clean!!!! It's letting the complex down. When we go to Portugal we get the apartment cleaned twice a week !!!! (I hear you saying well go to Portugal then) Overall excellent break and caught up with lots of old friends, shame about the cleaning and I know others have felt the same, some to the point of infuriated as they had been there for 4 weeks and had to clean themselves (or pay for it). Come on John do something about it before we book to come back again.
Anyway, at the moment I would still recommend the complex for the pool, pool bar and friendly staff (reception staff friendly too) but for how long - well that is over to you.
RESPONSE: Thanks for coming again susan - glad you enjoyed your stay. To address your point: We haven't ever cleaned the apartments during guests stay, the apartments are cleaned on arrival but not thereafter unless the client requires it, however there is an additional charge. This has been the case since 1987. It is something we will consider in the future, but for now with the way money is for everyone it would not be a good idea to charge people more for the apartments to cover extra services that are there as an option anyway. This keeps the overall cost of our clients holidays down.

Comments: We had a double apartment which had everything one required for a 4 week stay.
The rooms are quite spacious along with a decent sized balcony.TV to watch if you stayed in at night.
Only drawbacks paying for sunbeds round the pool and the bar charging 6 euros an hour for using the Internet.
Although our apartment was clean, the kitchen utensils, including the oven hadn't been left in the most hygenic state. We feel this should have been checked by the management before we arrived.
Having said all that, we,ve stayed in various places on Tenerife and consider this an excellent location and will definitely be staying there again.
RESPONSE: Sorry that the oven wasn't up to scratch, if ever anything like happens please tell us and we will rectify the issue - this should not have been missed.
The poolside bar does work out expensive when using their PCs to go online for a long period, however they do a very reasonable wireless service for laptops , 1€ per day.

Comments: We stayed at Paloma Beach for a week towards the end of January 2009. The complex was very clean and friendly. Staff were mostly English and brilliant.
The apartments are all private, so décor varies, but ours was a one bedroom which was very clean and large. The lounge had two settee’s and a TV with loads of English channels. The kitchen was fully fitted with cooker, fridge, microwave etc. Bedroom had 2 single beds and a large fitted wardrobe. Balcony overlooked the pool area and had a good view of the sea. Our balcony had 2 sun loungers and table/chairs. There aren’t any safe deposit boxes, but security patrol the complex all night, plus there is a double lock on the door and also a metal gate to each apartment. Lifeguard is by the pool all day too.
The pool area was cleaned at 8am every morning, and sun beds could be hired from 10am-6pm for €2 each. Some people bring their own sun beds down. There is a bar/restaurant within the complex which serves a breakfast for under €3 and many other snacks. They’re open until midnight and also serve all types of drinks / cocktails. We never heard noise from the bar on nights we stayed in.
Excursions or taxi’s can be booked from the reception, however, there is an old chap in a wheelchair ‘Captain John’ who rides around most of the day. He’s been resident on the island for 27yrs and can recommend/book your trips too. Loro Parque zoo is well worth a visit.
The complex isn’t far from the beach, and is mainly flat. There aren’t many hills, so it’s easily accessible for elderly or people with disabilities. There is internet in the bar priced at €1 for 10minutes. They also have a wireless connection, so you can bring your own laptop – this works out at €15 per week. If taking a laptop, make sure you get an apartment can receive the wireless signal.
Across the road is an ‘iceland’ supermarket which stocks many English brands. However, further along the road opposite the Arona Grand Hotel is a ‘netto’ supermarket (2mins walk). We shopped regularly at Netto as it seemed to have a much bigger choice. The baguettes with cheese and ham were a firm favourite at lunch time for us. The front is only 5 minutes walk.
Close to the complex there are a number of restaurants/bars including English pubs and Chinese food. The Sunday market is only 5 mins walk. We booked an airport transfer through the hotel with El Mar Services for €16.50 each way. They were very good! This works out cheaper than the taxi’s at €25 per trip.
I’d recommend this complex for families / couples of all ages. I’ll definitely be going back next year!!

My partner was celebrating a special birthday on this trip, so I booked a weekend stay in The Arona Gran as a treat as he has wanted to try there for the last 15 years. Although it was fabulous and they treated us very well with a special room, champagne, birthday cake and chocolates etc, we could not wait to get back to Paloma Beach where we feel more comfortable and relaxed. ie don't have to get up at 7am to compete for the sun loungers.
